I'm not quitting music due to lack of VGMA nominations because my brand is bigger than the VGMA Awards. There are bigger challenges people face before they become successful and this is one of the reasons why I sung 'Meye'.
Quophimens Musiq signed act Ethel Esi Eshun, better known by her stage name eShun, is a Ghanaian Singer, Songwriter, Performer and Recording Artist.
She evolved from a Reality Star Show, She was the first Runner up in the Glo X-Factor, participated in Project Fame –West Africa in 2011 and TV3 Mentor reality show to a Superstar Songstress.
eShun is one of the sensational female Vocalists who is the brain behind the YOLO sound track and twelve (12) other epic singles to her credit such as;

eShun's hard work from 2016 to 2017 got her nominated in the UNSUNG category of the 18th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2017 and also won an ambassadorial deal with United Nations High Commission on Refugees (UNHCR) on the theme Statelessness where she represented Ghana on the #iBelong song with three African countries Musicians to compose and perform the song in Dakar Senegal.
In 2017, eShun's hard work won her the Artiste of the year in the Infinix Central Music Awards organized by Candymania entertainment which was held at Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana.
The "Someone loves me" hitmaker was tipped by many panelists and Music critics including SintimBlog as a potential nominee in the 19th Edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2018 of which many wished she could be nominated in the Best New Artiste of the year and Best Female Vocalist of the year categories respectively.
The "famekor" hitmaker after submitting her nominations in January was shocked to receive zero nominations in this years VGMA when the official nominations were unveiled on the 3rd of March 2018 at the Movenpick Ambassadors hotel here in Accra Ghana.
After the nominations, couple of bloggers and Music critics alleged that the young sensational singer says she quits Music due to lack of VGMA nominations.
The songstress and owner of the soon to be released 'Untamed Album' in a 35 minute live video on facebook made it clear to her fans and Ghanaians that she never said she is quitting music due to lack of VGMA nominations because her eShun Brand is bigger than the VGMA Awards.
She went further to say that, there are bigger challenges people face before they become successful and this one of the reasons why she sung her first single 'Meye'.
In the video she also lamented that "I should quit Music and do what? Don't you know it's very sad when you put your Dream aside?" "Ghanaians talk a lot, my mind is not even on VGMA so I'm pressing on because I do Music for everyone and not for Awards but when the time comes I will grab that".
The 22 year old singer in the live video also said she is working beyond VGMA and she is doing Music for Ghanaians and not for awards.
The sensational singer acknowledged and showed appreciation to her fans for their enormous support and wished all women in Ghana and across the world a happy Women's Day.
