I Am 28% Disappointed In The VGMA Board – Obibini |©SintimBlog™

The VGMA nominations is out and as usual it is backed with lots of controversies. Many people are arguing some acts don’t deserve to be nominated for a particular category. Others also feel like they have been robbed and have every right to be nominated because they worked very hard in the year under review.

One of such acts who feels he should have been nominated is Obibini. Obibini released a smashing hot hip hop record last year he called “The Statement” the rapper went hard on this record non stop for 2 minutes. He believes for such a true hip hop record he should have been considered by the board for a VGMA Nomination for Hip Hop Song of the Year.

Speaking to Kumasi based radio station Luvfm, the rapper expressed his disappointment at the way The VGMA board ignored his record; “The Statement”. “For the board to ignore The Statement and not nominate it in the best Hip Hop Song of the Year category. I represented the hip hop culture fully in “The Statement”. I am 28% disappointed in the board but looking forward I am going to work really hard so that next year I can be part of the VGMAs” he said.

Obibini would be performing at the University of Ghana Campus alongside his Zylofon Media label mates during the Artiste Night event of the Hilla Limann Hall Week Celebration. I
