Ebony,Kuame Eugene and Kidi, the artistes who made it to the mainstream without the help of Sarkodie .

The Ghana music industry in 2017 was dominated by young upcoming artistes who saw the year as their breakthrough into the music world.
Over the previous years from 2012 till present,  several artists doing various genre of music become
mainstream acts with the help of sarkodie.
These artistes were shot to the limelight through collaborations and features recorded  with Sarkodie.

The year 2017 saw the likes of Ebony, Kwame Eugene and KiDi who became mainstream acts without the help of Sarkodie.

SintimBlog™ brings to you some Ghanaian artistes who became Mainstream acts through features and collaborations with the Multiple award winner and CEO of SarkCess Music Sarkodie who is known in real life as Micheal Owusu Addo.

1. EL

Elorm Adablah popularly known in showbiz as EL is a Ghanaian rapper, Hiphop and Afro beat artiste who shot to the limelight through the kind hands of Sarkodie. Although, EL was having his record label BBnZ after parting ways with Jayso's Skillions but it was Sarkodie's 'You go kill me' and 'Dangerous' bangers released in 2012, which made him become a mainstream artiste in Ghana and Africa.

2. Pappy Kojo

Pappy Kojo, the Fante Vandame also passed through Sarkodie's grace before becoming a mainstream artiste. The Fante rapper became well known in the music scene after releasing his 'Ay3 late' track featuring Sarkodie. This is a clear indication that Sarkodie gave him a helping hand and massive exposure.

3. Joey B

Joey B is another rapper in the music industry who also passed through Sarkodie before becoming mainstream artiste in Ghana and Africa. His 2013 banger 'Tonga' featuring Sarkodie gave him the nationwide recognition as an artiste in Ghana. This makes it clear that, Sarkodie came to his aid.

4. Donzy

Donzy Chaka, who is currently the CEO of DC Empire also became a mainstream act through the help of Sarkodie. Donzy, after being discovered by Sarkodie and signed onto The Rap University, did a lot of mixtapes but got the recognition of the Ghana music industry after releasing his banger 'Club' featuring Sarkodie and Piesie in 2015.

 5. Medikal

Samuel Frimpong, popularly known as Medikal, although discovered by Criss Waddle and signed onto his AMG Business record label but he became a mainstream act after his collaboration with Sarkodie on his banging track 'Confirm Remix' which was released last year 2017. His hard work during the year grabbed him about 7 VGMA nominations and won none.

6. King Promise

King Promise is another sensational Afropop/ Afrobeat artiste who has gain a lot of nationwide recognition for the past two years in the Music industry after his single 'Double Trouble' featuring Sarkodie in 2017.  The current 'Oh yeah' and 'Selfish' hitmaker should always be thankful to Sarkodie for giving him this great exposure.

7. Piesie

Another hiplife, highlife artiste who had his breakthrough into the Ghana music scene is Piesie. The Tema based artiste shot to the limelight through Donzy's 'Club' banger featuring Sarkodie.
Its obvious that, Sarkodie helped brought two artistes to the limelight with one record.

8. Fancy Gadam

Although fancy Gadam was very popular in the Three Northern regions, filled the Tamale Sports stadium to maximum capacity yet still his 'Total Cheat' banger   collaboration with Sarkodie released in 2017, helped him to be well known Nationwide although he had won the best new artiste of the year award category of the 2017 VGMA before the release of the record. The artiste confirmed in an interview that, Sarkodie is the back bone behind his breakthrough into the music industry.

The above list compiled indicate that Sarkodie is indeed the pillar of Ghana Music around which upcoming and other artiste revolves. The rapper is seen for his good works in helping give exposure to underground artistes so that they could also become mainstream acts.
