FASHION : Check out the fashion sense of UEW graduands and what they wore to their 22nd Congregation.  By: Bismark Botchwey  November 27, 2017 The University of Education, Winneba had its 1st section of its 22nd Congregation on its main campus last week. The congregation began on the 22nd to 25th of November, 2017. The congregation was held at the Josphus Anamoah Mensah Auditorium which is located on North Campus, the main campus of the University. The conferment of Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates  were awarded to gradaunds from the Faculty of Educational Studies, Faculty of Foreign Languages and Communication, Faculty of Ghanaian Languages Education, Faculty of Science Education, Faculty of Social Science Education, the  School of Graduate Studies and the School of Creative Arts.  DKB supports Shatta Wale. Tells Ghanaians to stop listening to Nigerian music and patronize made in Ghana goods.  By: Bismark Botchwey  November 22, 2017 Derick Kobina Bonney popularly known as DKB in the entertainment industry earlier last Saturday cautioned Ghanaians to stop listening to Nigerian music. The king of GH comedy was the host of the 9th edition of the 4SyteTV Music Video Awards which was held in the Accra International Conference Center (AICC). Having DKB as the host of the event brought a lot of joy and happiness to the audience. Apart from the audience being thrilled by the daily comic delivery by the comedian, he took advantage as the host of the event and advised Ghanaians to patronize made in Ghana goods. Of which he made a comic statement about a borrowed shoe which is proudly made in Ghana.  He further advised Ghanaians to stop listening to Nigerian music  and support their own Ghanaian artistes by listening to their music. Information reaching the office of SintimBlog indicates that an Accra High Court has ordered Melcom to pay Tic Tac, a compensation of GHC300,000 for breach of contract.  Justice Amo Yartey, the judge who sat on the case in delivering his judgement on Friday said it was illegal for the company to continuously use the image of the musician when there was no contract. As part of his pronouncement of judgement the court ordered Melcom to pay Tic Tac, a compensation of GHC300,000 and a legal cost of GHC2000. Speaking to the media after court proceedings, lawyer for Tic Tac, Gary Nimako Marfo, said it was a clear signal to all businesses that they cannot take musicians for a ride over copyright issues. “When you use someone’s intellectual property for your business, you must pay them,” Gary Nimako said. Sarkodie wins the highest awards at 4SyteTV Music Video Awards 2017. The multiple award winner earlier yesterday won the Best African Act in the BamaAwards held in Hamburg Germany. Sad news reaching SintimBlog™ this morning indicates that seasoned radio presenter, Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong, popularly known as KABA has passed on. By Bismark Botchwey  November 18, 2017 News reaching the office of SintimBlog™ from the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra this morning indicate that the radio icon was rushed to the hospital at dawn but unfortunately, he could not make it upon reaching the hospital.  Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong before this unfortunate news was the host of Asempa FM's 'Ekosi Sen'. He was noted for his many anti-corruption campaigns.  He tied the knot somewhere last year with Radio Gold presenter, Valentina Ofori Afriyie. The wedding was held in Santasi, a suburb of Kumasi and it was attended by high-ranking personalities in the radio fraternity including Kwame Sefa-Kayi. The 2017 edition of Sarkodie’s Annual Rapperholic Concert has officially been launched in a brief ceremony at the Multichoice head office in Accra, Ghana.  By: Bismark Botchwey  Published on November 12, 2017 Multiple Award winner Micheal Owusu - Addo popularly known as Sarkodie  is CEO of his independent imprint   SarkCess Music , which is also home to singer Akwaboah, and fellow rap act Strongman.
